Students may transfer credit to the French Studies Program from other universities or from a study abroad program by meeting with the Program Director and presenting a syllabus from the course or courses that s/he wishes to transfer. The course(s) to be transferred do not have to be exactly like a course in the program and can receive the credit as 3XX or 4XX. Normally, the program requires that the two 400-level courses for a double major or the three required for a single major be taken at Rice. To complete the major in French Studies, at least half of the required hours must be taken at Rice. For further information please contact Professor Deborah Nelson-Campbell (email@example.com).
