Students pursuing the major in European Studies should be aware of the following departmental transfer credit guidelines:
No more than 4 courses (12 credit hours) of transfer credit from U.S. or international universities of similar standing may apply towards the major.
Requests for transfer credit will be considered by the program director (and/or the program’s official transfer credit advisor) on an individual case-by-case basis.
Students seeking approval for transfer credit will need to:
obtain a syllabus for each course;
obtain a transcript;
complete the Undergraduate Request for Transfer Credit form available online or in the Office of the Registrar;
meet with one of the departmental credit advisors and obtain his/her approval signature;
submit the completed form to the Office of the Registrar.
For Rice University’s general policy regarding transfer credit, see Transfer Credit
. The Office of Academic Advising maintains the university’s official list of transfer credit advisors on their website: http://oaa.rice.edu
